Abstract
Diabetes (or Diabetes mellitus) is a complex group of diseases caused by a number of reasons. Individuals suffering from diabetes have hyperglycemia (high blood sugar) either because there is low production of insulin or body cells do not use the produced insulin. This study has been done to find out the awareness of diabetes among population. For this purpose, research was conducted on 100 people, which includes people of age above 30 years. The date was collected through questionnaire made by investigation or and data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The finding of the study showed that people are less aware about the causes and diagnosis of diabetes. In general, people should consume balanced diet with low sugar daily content and daily physical activity to avoid risk of diabetes.
